Something For The Big Weekend

Something For The Big Weekend is a simple and fun triangular scarf design.Larger than my Something For The Weekend pattern, you won’t be able to complete this project in a weekend, but you could if you had a long weekend!

Decreasing blocks of stocking stitch are interspersed with sections of eyelets make this triangular pattern ideal for beginners looking for a project with a slight challenge, but is far easier than it looks. And for the seasoned knitter, it’s a great box set companion that can also be put down and picked up easily. Just keep a close eye on your stitch count because it’s a big cast on! Stitch markers are your friend here! But don’t that put you off because the result is quite magical!

Using 4ply yarn, this is a fun, rhythmic pattern that results in a beautiful, textured scarf. It looks great in both single and multiple coloured yarn and is a great way of using up some of the yarns in your stash!

It’s easy to style, looks great on anyone and can worn casually with jeans or to accessorise a more formal outfit. But however you choose to wear it or whoever you choose to knit this scarf for, you’ll be sure to have a few versions of this pattern in your wardrobe!

Happy Knitting!
